If you'll be making another entry but focusing on non-German tanks, I have two recommendations that might otherwise be easily overlooked: 1. A Cromwell replica built on the T-34 chassis for the 1963 Polish movie "Daleka jest droga" (The Road Is Long), which revolves around the officers of the 1st Polish Armoured Division. I think it looks pretty decent, especially when confronted with T-34-based Panzers from other films. The movie is available on YT, the replica is seen in 3:44 and from 18:04 onwards: ruclips.net/video/uqOXxJUNBHw/видео.html 2. The 1978 Soviet film "Kentavri" (The Centaurs), which was based on the 1973 coup d'etat in Chile; while the action takes place in an unnamed Latin American country, several details strongly suggest what inspired the film, such as a logo on one of the choppers which resembled the roundel of the Chilean Air Force. MosFilm made several replicas of the M41 Walker Bulldogs based on T-34s (ruclips.net/video/46ND-8aHeZ0/видео.html), and what's interesting, it seems that at least one is still in the studio's hands, and running (ruclips.net/video/nqFEgFT_Ss4/видео.html). Wouldn't fool me in the long run but I appreciate the effort; though funnily enough, the USSR might have had several genuine M41s in their hands at that point, from the stocks captured by North Vietnam and delivered to Kubinka for testing as a sign of gratitude for the Soviet support during the war. BTW Poland also had some replicas of the Patton tanks built on the IS-2 chassis, but those were mock-ups made for OPFOR exercises - kinda like the M551 cosplaying T-80s and ZSU-23-4 Shilkas.

5:38 Pretty sure those are built on the SU-76 chassis, because they served in the post-war Polish Army until early 70s.

Perhaps it would be interesting to some that there were experiments with E4 Shermans in Yugoslav Peoples' Army equiping them with engines from T-34-85. Although this never came to operational level it was more of a proof of concept. However, it worked but it was not so succesful as expected.

Great movie, excellent coverage video. I know the "Tiger" props are probably pretty good as far as other movies go, but I didn't see any interleaved road wheels, so that's a No from me. 😊

I remember watching this movie as a kid on an old VHS tape and I didn't have access to the Internet properly until I was a teenager and thought I was alone in loving this movie. See's all the love for this gem truly warmed my heart knowing many others share the same love.

16:34 I personally think the side of the Tiger is weaker than the rear. Though the maximum thickness of both are the same (lower hull is thinner ~60mm), the rear plate is slightly sloped making the armor a bit more effective. The engine would also provide some protection to the crew if shot from the rear. The Tiger's ammo racks are located in the sponsons and lower hull so shooting the side would give you a higher chance of blowing the ammo, and killing the crew (which means they can't be put in another tank).

T-62 is not good to overestimate, but also to underestimate. If they have the last type of Sabot shells. So the 3BM-21M has a penetration of 495 mm RHA on 1,5-2km. Upgraded tanks have at least a "new" aiming system with night vision, which is usable at 1.5 to 2 km. Tanks with a BDD version hull at the head + added Kontakt 1 will last a while. It can certainly destroy tanks from the side, including the Abrams. From the front, Leo 1A5 and Leo 2A4, also T-64BV or upgraded T-72M1 from Czech and T-91Twardy.

That movie was a good clean fun-filled romp that never took itself too seriously.
